Planning And Conducting A Remote Audit

Webinar Type: On Demand
Presented By:
Carmine Liuzzi

A remote audit is the same as an onsite audit, however, it uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to audit a company’s processes, policies, procedures, and personnel.

New ICT have made remote auditing more feasible and the current pandemic health crisis has greatly accelerated the acceptance and credibility of remote auditing practices in many industries. Remote auditing is not just for third party audits.

Organizations are utilizing remote auditing methods to conduct their own internal and supplier audits. While there are efficiencies to conducting remote audits, there are also real challenges and risks to consider and address if a remote audit is going to yield a useful and accurate representation of the audited organization.

There is a great deal more to consider than simply what ICT platform will be used to conduct an audit. Our webinar Planning & Conducting Remote Audits will discuss some of these considerations including:

  • Competency of the auditors to conduct remote audits effectively
  • Maintaining confidentiality of information shared during the audit
  • Steps to consider when preparing your organization to be audited remotely
  • What are the similarities between on-site and remote audits? What are the key differences?
