Product safety has always been a critical challenge for food growers, producers and distributors. But now it has been joined by imperatives, from customers and regulators alike, to guarantee food products’ authenticity and integrity.

Although no sector of the food industry has been immune to supply chain risk management failures, in recent years the number and variability of those related to the global spice trade have been frequent and varied.
