The Local Capability Fund (LCF) for COVID-19 Business Recovery and Growth Round is a funding program under the Western Australian Government’s Industry Facilitation Scheme.
Its goal is to support small and medium enterprises that supply to, or are part of the Energy, Mining, Civil Construction, Defence, Marine or State and Local Governments sectors, who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19.
Applicants who have seen at least a 15% reduction since June 2020 can receive up to 75% of costs up to a maximum of $100,000 (excluding GST) to engage external expertise for planning and business advice, improvements to internal business infrastructure and management systems and training, as well as upgrading plant and equipment.
Eligible activities include:
- Strategic and business planning
- Supply chain facilitation
- Tender submission advice and preparation
- Improvements to production and distribution systems and cybersecurity systems
- Implementation and certification of national and international Standards
- Upskilling employees to improve operational processes
- Staff development training
