Intertek embarks on reconciliation journey with our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

In April 2024, Intertek began the journey to strengthen reconciliation across our local communities in Australia. Under the guidance of Reconciliation Australia, we are currently laying the foundations for our reconciliation pathway with our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.

We have a vast network of operational locations, laboratories and offices in Australia, employing over 1,000 people across our business entities in the country.

Our Reflect RAP allows us to explore opportunities for developing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island stakeholders and to determine how we can advance reconciliation within our company and spheres of influence.

That’s why we are inviting our extended community to celebrate NAIDOC Week by taking part in local events. NAIDOC Week, initiated by the National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC), is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and to participate in celebrations of the oldest continuous living cultures on earth.

  • Intertek NAIDOC event: A conversation with Danny Ford OAM

Tuesday, 9th July 2024, 9-10:15am AWST

Held in Minerals Space, Maddington, Western Australia

  • Local community celebrations: NAIDOC Week events are being held by local communities across Australia. To find events to participate in, visit the NAIDOC website events
  • Annual National NAIDOC Awards: Join the National NAIDOC Awards Ceremony held in Adelaide on 6th July to celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across 10 award categories, including art, culture, education, sport, youth, Elders, innovation, environment and leadership.

We look forward to deepening our relationships and enhancing respect through the five dimensions of reconciliation: race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, unity and historical acceptance.

Intertek Australia invites all our customers, partners, suppliers, employees and broader communities to join us on this journey towards reconciliation in Australia.
